Doing Good

We love Thunder Bay and region, and as stated in our mission and vision, we aim to be ecologically and socially responsible, while also contributing to community vitality. We plan to do so in many ways, including, for example:

  • choosing food tastings that support local farmers, food producers and food artisans
  • decreasing waste with the use of reusable or biodegradable containers
  • fostering employee participation to help local non-profits and charities
  • with every ‘ticket’ sold, we’ll donate a percentage to Roots to Harvest, an outstanding local not for profit doing good for our local youth, regional food security, and community.

FYI – Roots to Harvest is a local not-for-profit and charitable organization that uses food to outreach and engage the populations they serve, and whose vision is to provide transformative educational and employment opportunities for youth to engage with local food systems and cultivate healthy communities.  Be inspired by their work, visit one of their local gardens, and/or support them in any way you can.
